Tudor Tămaş is a geologist and lecturer at Babeș-Bolyai University in Romania, specializing in karstology and the mineralogy of speleothems. As the Romanian representative to the International Union of Speleology (UIS), his work focuses on the documentation of artificial cavities and the palaeoclimatic significance of cave deposits. Over the past two decades, he has been a key figure in the survey of archaeological materials within the subterranean landscapes of Northwest Romania.
