Prof. Boaz Zissu is a Professor of Classical Archaeology at Bar-Ilan University, where he heads the Jeselsohn Epigraphic Center for Jewish History. A renowned scholar of the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods, his research focuses on the historical geography of Jerusalem and Judaea. With over 270 scholarly publications and multiple books to his credit, Prof. Zissu has led significant archaeological investigations at key sites across Israel and currently directs the exploration of the Teomim Cave in the Judaean Hills.
